102 here in Round Rock TX. We just got back from trip to DC last night and we weren't prepared for the heat.

Now I know why people keep their AC on even if they left for trip. When the house had all of the windows closed and no AC running for 7 days.. it took a good 4 hours for the temperature inside the house to reach 78.

Time to invest in a smart thermostat.

we've had the normal rainfall for the month already. May was 20 year record cold and rain, and June is vying to beat that.
We got over an inch overnight Thursday and I got to the job Friday to find the excavations all full of water and a whole bunch of pipe had floated, and an oil/water separator. It was a big cluster.

Yeah I should. Been thinking about that for a while, just never got it done. Guess thisis the best time.
Around here last year PSE&G, our utilities company, was offering smart thermostats at good discounts. In fact $100 off. I got the entry level nest one for free, since it's $99 :)

Check and see if your utility company runs these kind of programs

I guess a big fat derecho is just entering WV. I live on the other side of the state so it will be after dark before it hits.

Despite dire forecasts, we still haven't hit the Big Magic One.

I mean 97, 98 still sucks, but there's that psychological thing.

It's been lovely here most of the last 6 weeks. Mostly mid 70's to low 80's, humidity not bad. Some thunderstorms. Some of the best run of spring weather recently

Today I seen 94F on the work truck gauge, but the WC "official high was 92F. Tomorrow I think it's going to be a salty 94F not counting southern KY humidity, which is a PITA living between two lakes.

Probably be 98F with high humidity, and WC says 5-10mph winds. Those weren't not today. By noon the one guy I was working with said his skin was melting. But he's got 30 years on the job.

I'll try to remember what the bank sign reports. But they are re paving the roads in town so been avoiding that.

89F with feels like temp of 95F and that's with a 14mph breeze. Humidity is 56 and dew point of 70. It's oppressively hot outside.
