House got hit by some kind of microburst last night, was the weirdest thing. Random burst of wind out of nowhere and everything shook. Felt like a truck hit the house. Right now it seems a small storm is brewing, wind has picked up again.

With all that it did warm up though, only -9 right now. -19 windchill though.

I had a whopping 1F(-17C) this morning but i saw as low as -13F(-25C) on the way to work.

We has snow today but not really much to clean off cars or shovel but enough to make the roads slick, again.

Cloudy and right around the freezing mark with light snow today in CT.

Most likely getting a strong coastal storm overnight and most of the day Saturday that could (potentially) dump 18 inch's of snow.

Yeah, getting ready for the storm here in NJ. Just got the snow blower out, and it won't start. Had it since 97, so it served me well. Tomorrow is going to suck though.

-31 feels like -36.

Glad to be working from home this week. I wish companies would get their heads out of their asses and make WFH a standard. So much less trouble when I don't have to worry about scraping down and warming up the vehicle, or getting it started in first place.

Electric stuff has come a long way, if I was buying a new snow blower at this point I'd be looking at the electric ones. Ego and Toro both have a full size 2 stage electric one, that I know of. There are other companies making snow throwers which are basically light snow blowers but if I had no snow blower at all I'd want full size. I did recently buy an electric snow shovel for small jobs and it works better than I thought. For small to medium snow falls I don't even bother taking out the gas snowblower. I still need to do lot of manual shoveling either way to get the snow around the truck etc so by the time I do that I only really need the snowblower to shoot it in the yard, and the electric snow shovel basically accomplishes the same thing. For when we get a couple feet of snow overnight though then the snowblower is way better.

SNOWMAGEDDON IS UPON US SEND HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not that bad here in central MA. Probably about 7" so far, but it's hard to tell considering it's windy and there are snow drifts; parts of my driveway/yard have an inch of snow, while others are probably up to a foot or more.

I'll go out and do my first round of snowblowing soon, then finish it off tomorrow. But for now, I'm fueling myself up with Girl Scout cookies. :D

Couple feet here in eastern MA. Officially the snowiest January day in Boston on record apparently, beating out 2015. I love it, I’ve been waiting for a real winter storm! I just shoveled my front entryway and sidewalk and will save all the snow blowing for tomorrow.

Tough to tell how much snow we got with the wind/drifts but I'd estimate at least a foot.

Temp made it to a relatively "balmy" 19f earlier but last I looked it was down to 10f and dropping fast with a steady 15 mph NNW wind.

I grew up in Springfield in the 50's and early 60's. I (vaguely) remember some nasty winters with hella snow.
