Muggy, muggy, mug - eeeee

Hasn't been an overly hot summer, but the dew point has been up and I haven't been able to be outside much. Water just pours off of me even just standing still and I haven't felt like I could breathe well in this muginess. I get out for a couple hours in the morning some days, but others it's been too oppressive even by 7 or 8 AM.

So, I have a ton of things to do. Looks like the big switch may be coming with lows in the 40s and highs in the low 70s. BUT----- days of rain which means the ground will now be too muddy to do most of those things.

Been cooling off fast, though we are still getting the oddball nice day. Like today it's 17. Though it's a cold 17. I actually put jeans on and normally 17 would be warm enough for shorts. We have not hit freezing point too many times yet though but it's getting close at night. Suppose to be like 27 tomorrow so super hot, but then it will cool right down.

Kind of humid and warm today but sunny and not QUITE into uncomfortable range for me at least.

Only bummer is we are rapidly approaching sunset before 7:00p which always marks the end of super-long summer days.

Yeah that's one thing I hate about winter is the short days. Pretty soon it will still be dark at 8:00am and get dark before 5:00pm. At least with being able to work from home I will see daylight but not sure how long that will continue.

We've had a pretty good rainstorm here finally. I think we're at around 1.25" of rain in the past 24 hours. It's about fucking time we got some actual rain...my lawn is dry and brown. Of course, with heavy rain and 30-50 mph winds, the alder trees behind my house have shed a million fckng leaves....with a billion more to come over the next several weeks.

That sorta nasty storm came thru Wednesday night, a day later than expected. I don't think we hit 60F today for a high after being in the upper 70's to low 80's much of the week prior. Looks like we won't see 70F temps till middle of next week
Temperature isn't bad but it can stop raining.

7C and raining. Typical fall weather. I always try to tough it and not run the heat until October at least but I gave in. I just run it for an hour or so in morning to take the edge off.

Things got colder here after this last front went through. It was upper 40s F here this morning and definitely feeling like typical October weather more than recent Septembers.
I'm already missing that Hawaii weather of 75-85 degrees F with a breeze.

Ugly and grey here today although the rain seems to be over.

Cooled off considerably to the mid-60's (F) overnight but I still ran the AC on dehumidify to sleep because it poured buckets.

So idyllic in Texas. Humidity has been ultra low (19%-33%) all week, with plenty of sunshine.
So much fall, so early - it's like October. Lows in the 50°s!!!!!! . :frowning:
( Should be 90°-70° this time of year. )

Super dark out, it's kind of eerie. Raining as usual. Double digits weather though, +12.

I can't wait till November/December when it gets cold enough so the rain stops. I want to go do a bit of work on my homestead property or at least explore it more and start figuring out where I want to build.
