Still super hot here, it cooled off a bit tonight though but it was way hotter earlier. We have TWO active weather alerts, exciting times! lol.

As usual...cool, gray, with occasional rain. I looked at the 15 day forecast on Accuweather earlier...one day above 70F.

I would not mind cooler weather at this point. I really need to get my deck done but really don't feel like doing it in this heat. But if I wait too long it's probably going to rain. Once it starts to rain here, it never stops for like a month.

you should come down to the south here and feel what a heatwave is like. It is very hot in our area and no rain for 10 days now. We are on the verge of declaring a Drought. Rain is predicted for the weekend and a 40% chance today. We need rain for crops very badly.

Oh trust me I was at Wonderland once and it was +39. Without the humidex. It was BRUTAL. We just went to the water park but it was so hot even the water was hot, it was like being in a hot bath. I think when it comes to heat it's kinda like cold. With the cold, once you hit like say, -30, anything colder basically feels the same. With heat, once you get +30, everything after is just equally as brutal. The thing with that time it was +39 though was how fast everything dried. Like you get completely wet after going down a slide and 5 minutes later you're dry. There were lot of Muslims there as it was "Muslim day" at the park and they were all fully covered. I don't know how they do it. I would be drowning in my own sweat.

We got a nice light rain yesterday around 4:30pm. Lasted about 1.5hr. Dropped the temps briefly to the mid 70s but another scorcher today.
Supposed to get some relief from the temps over the weekend here. Looks like temps will be 80-85F. Guess that's better than 90+ we have had.

still hot and humid here. 33C (91.4Freedom) with a humidex of 38C (100.4Freedom).

A squall line is approaching from the west and is over Detroit heading east.

We have a Heat Warning and a Severe thunderstorm watch in effect.

Hot and humid here. From today until next week, it will be in the upper 90's (95 and higher) plus humidity so the heat index (how humans feel) would be in the 100's. Yike.

I don't know how folks were able to live down here before AC and electricity and with all of those thick and long clothes back then.

Still hot here, maybe not quite as bad as yesterday though. We just had a mini thunderstorm and it dropped to 23 which is not that hot, but it's 30 with the humidex. Still under heat warning as well as thunderstorm watch and warning at same time. (I don't know how that's possible but it is 2020... lol)

It's starting to rumble here now.
Environment Canada had amended the alert to a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.

At 4:27 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong wind gusts, pea to dime size hail and heavy rain.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 20 kilometres northwest of The Pinery Provincial Park to Arkona, moving northeast at 45 km/h.

Sky is getting darker now with strong winds.

Incoming tropical-depression here in CT.

50 mph wind gusts and some heavy rain although it appears the worst of it will pass to our west.

That 1st line of storms kinda petered out, here anyway. Nasty stuff heading this way from Ohio though. As of now, any watches/warnings are to the North & South of me

it's really dark here, like 9:00PM dark. I don't like the look of this.

it's raining now. Like a hurricane.

Wow. Lots of lightning.

EDIT: Temps are now 24C(75.2Freedom). I am not sure if the storms are done or not.

2nd line of storms fizzled out too. Some light rain, that's about it.

There's always tomorrow.

It was nice again here today. The marine layer burned off quickly and we had sunshine with temps in the upper 60's.

Boston, it was a miserable week! Rained tonight but the humidity is high, not good for me
I hear ya. Not good for my heart condition, either. AC FTW

The cold front is passing through and temps are good. Lots of rain, too.
