I think the hottest weather I've run in was around 90F. I probably won't do that again.

A job where they have to wear pants

Trust me ... for MOST people its a damn good thing they have to wear pants to work or anywhere else for that matter!

;)

*(short-pants are STILL pants!)

On-topic I broke down and installed my bedroom AC this morning after a sweaty-humid sleep last night.

I can handle ... heck even enjoy the heat during the day unless it gets really extreme (95-100f +) but need cool/dry in order to get quality sleep.

Hit 88F yesterday and supposed to repeat itself today, tomorrow forecast is 90F. Can only wonder what the hottest days of summer will be.

I know right? But global warming is a myth lol.

My issue is that I live in a big 1br apartment on the 3rd floor of a big/old house. Its a converted attic and has a private full-bath plus bedroom with 2 good-sized windows however the main room would take like 20k BTU's to cool and has only one big window.

At the moment thanks to Covid-19 I'm working reduced hours during the day so its less of an issue since I can sit in the office AC during the peak heat but when I go back to some overnights and am home at those times it sucks unless I'm asleep.

Went down to 22, but feels like 27 with humidity. 88%. Thunderstorm watch in effect. We got some rain a while ago and it's suppose to rain pretty much all week.

25C right now and heat wave is tapering off. Suppose to rain like crazy tonight.

Significant rainfall expected tonight through Tuesday.

A significant rainfall will begin tonight. General rainfall amounts of 30 to 50 mm are likely by Wednesday morning in a swath from Sault Ste. Marie to Kesagami Provincial Park. Rain may linger through Wednesday and into Thursday giving additional, although lesser amounts. Localized totals exceeding 75 mm are possible by Thursday.

Environment Canada continues to monitor the situation. Rainfall warnings may be issued as necessary. Rainfall warnings are issued when 50 mm in 24 hours is expected.

That should be fun. I should start building an ark. :p

The heat wave ended here today as well. It's just muggy as heck now. The thunderstorms are coming tonight/tomorrow.

Another hot one here, 92F-95F. I went to the store early looking for Lysol. I struck out, but won't be going out again today.

8C, and more rain.

Heavy rain continues today.

Rain, at times heavy, will continue today before easing to light rain tonight. Light rain will linger into Thursday giving additional, although lesser amounts.

Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 100 mm are expected by this evening over most areas.

For information concerning flooding, please consult your local Conservation Authority or Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry District office. Visit Ontario.ca/floods for the latest details.

100mm

Makes me wonder what the record is for a single day here. I don't think we've ever gotten a flood due to rain alone. We have gotten localized floods before but it was normally due to multiple factors like snow melting too fast combined with rain.
