here's 2 pics I took during the height of the snowsqualls in 2010: check out the guy shovelling across the street.3 feet is horrible, we had 3 feet of normal snow about 5 years ago which set a record for snowfall in my area. There's nowhere to put it after a while, when you need to shovel the mounds are over your head. And that's not all that bad compared to what's possible. Some areas of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan can get 6-8 feet of lake effect snow in a single event and 25+ feet in a winter. HTF can a town cope with 25 feet of snow? Hell, how do you get out of your house to start digging out from 6-8 feet of snow? Climb out an upstairs window maybe, your doors probably won't open.
