Looks like our cold and snowy weather is done...for now. Highs back to around 50f, lows above freezing.

I SURVIVED!

I just got back from a very nice hike, sunny, cool breeze, snow sparkling up on the mountains where it belongs.

we are getting a nasty storm today that will bring heavy snow and possibly freezing rain depending on temps. This will be followed by arctic air bringing snowsqualls and cold temps for Sunday.

We're getting some of that, but it shouldn't be more than 5" of snow.

Getting a small blizzard here. Thankfully none of that nasty wet stuff though, it's like -14 with -24 windchill so should be ok. The weather alerts must be decided from down south because there's a weather alert for 10cm. At first I missread that as 100cm. Why would they even issue an alert over 10? lol.

It's been snowing since 11am. It better turn to rain like they said, because I don't feel like shoveling.

It's been either rain, freezing rain, snow or slush coming down today. Looks like it's all turning to snow starting tonight as a front moves thru with high winds
Snow totals could be close to a foot by Tuesday.

@IronWing - got an extra room?

it snowed until 4:00PM. At that point we received 4+ inches of snow. It then started raining. At 6:30PM it turned back into a snow/sleet shower.

It is now back to snow and the temps dropping fast. Winds are pretty strong now as well.

That sounds nasty. I hate when it rains in winter it just screws up everything.

Still snowing fairly steady here but thankfully it's just normal snow with no rain so it's not too bad.

Didn't end up getting all that much snow here. Seems the south gets hit harder now days.

Currently -14 feels like -23 and sun is out.

Pretty much the perfect winter weather for going out for a walk. Not too cold and not too warm. I should probably actually go do that today given I'm starting night shift tonight... Instead I'm just sitting inside drinking coffee lol.

Whoa...that was close. All of a sudden, a very bright orb appeared in the morning sky...so bright it hurt my eyes...for a minute, I worried about a thermonuclear air burst or something...fortunately, it didn't last very long...just a few minutes, and everything is now back to normal...dark, cloudy, gloomy...with rain incoming.

I SURVIVED!
