Decent weather today was sunny and breezy but it's also dark at 5:10 pm.

Standard time blows. :confused_old:

0C with freezing rain announced. It might be happening now, but it's too dark to see anything. I'll know when I get out to go to work. Probably going to leave early to play it safe.

Lots of rain / freezing rain, lot of people with flooded basements, trees falling on hydro lines everywhere, it's a mess!

One tech was driving to a cell site with a generator and he was seeing trees falling as he was driving and while stopped at the cell site to hookup he could hear trees falling everywhere in the bush.

Busy night at work.

Some random pics someone posted, and map of hydro outages I just took now.

Lots of this going on in Quebec too, I have like 30 or so buildings with power outages there alone. Not as many in Ontario but got maybe like a dozen or so. A couple of them dropped, we only got so many techs/generators to go around so they're rotating to keep the batteries topped up.

Doing half decently well considering the circumstances but can't wait for my shift to be over lol.

This is basically going to be me handing this mess over to day shift guy: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/jJ8EoUmJh8c

It's 35 outside and 65 inside despite the fact that I do not have heat turned on. How is the house maintaining temperature??

-5 feels like -12. Gonna go pickup my wood stove tomorrow, and need to buy all the chimney parts etc too. Looking forward to having that set up as it gets colder.

The rain has stopped, just a bit of flurries now.

-5 and snowing.

The rain has calmed down but aftermath of it is still popping up.

I bet that hole is not obvious at first when driving at highway speed. All the pavement around it is probably not safe to drive on either. Guessing they closed it at this point.

Early this week it was 80°F, woke up this morning to the deck covered with some kinda white stuff. High this afternoon was 31°F.

We got about 2-3 inches of snow a few days ago. It was cold that day and the next and it has dropped below freezing at night. Daytimes have been above freezing with plenty of Sun. It's now close to 50 and the Sun has been out all day. My roof is dark green metal. How is there still snow on parts of it? Yes, those portions are partially shaded, but the temperature alone should have melted such a small amout even without direct Sun.

-9 with freezing drizzle.

Went for a drive with a friend since he wanted to go see his parents' cottage to see if there was any damage from the storm. Cottage was ok, but this guy's pontoon not doing too good.
