We actually had some sunshine yesterday! Spent most of the afternoon hanging out with friends at a local taproom in their outside beer garden,

enjoying the sunshine more than the beer. Looks like more sun today. Will probably spend some time working in the yard.

Simplify it. Take a razor, some shaving cream....and go bald.

Go on ... do it! You hiding a funny shaped head under there ?!? :p

You'll thank me later ... it's like dropping the temp 10 degree's! ;)

*(of course the same applies in winter so that's like 9.5 months of the year shivering for you... maybe think twice!)

Yeah, you weren't wrong.

Yikes!

I'm not sure when they did it but the Clear Sky Chart has added "Smoke" to the list. :(

I remember it was like that in Connecticut briefly late summer last year... really sucks too. Had to double-down on my allergy spray to get symptom relief for a couple weeks.

I can't imagine what it must be like to have one of those massive fires in close proximity.

I was in Portland last year with the bad fires. We had AQI's in the 400+ ranges. We literally had the worst air quality on earth. Couldn't find filters, had to salvage HEPA filters from vacuum. That's 24 hours of filtering. The one shot out of the window is sort of a "clear day, no smoke" what I see in the afternoon. The other is what happened when the smoke rolled in.IMG_20200911_081633.jpgIMG_20200727_203327.jpgIMG_20200912_093612.jpg

Yeah that's crazy, thankfully this is fairly mild smoke so it's not too bad, but it does make me realize I should maybe have a good air cleaner and hepa filters on hand in case it ever gets real bad.

Air quality is horrible where I live in WV. The air quality index is 121. You can see it in the air and I can barely see the mountains. Don't remember ever seeing it this bad except the time we had fires nearby.

Edit: Ok, the air quality was due to the fires out west. This is the 2nd time in a year this has happened.

Yesterday we had nice weather. Sunshine and neat 70 degrees...then the marine layer moved in last evening...brought a thick fog with it...temps quickly dropped to around 60 degrees. This morning, gray and cloudy...just right.

Mid-70's in New Haven with cloudy sky and intermittent T-storms.... really humid too.

Actually not bad because the humidity cuts down on the soot particles in the air. Nothing like you guys have been dealing with out west but over the last few days here air quality here has been crappy.

Light rain rolled in last night. Not heavy, probably less than 1/4" before it was done...but still nice.

It will be the 3rd day of a heatwave today for me. It got to 95F here yesterday. That's 35C if my math is right.
