Jumped from 30s (Freedum units) to the 60s and rained a ton yesterday evening. 60s again today.

My truck's covered with snow and now I'm going to be balancing a Zoom meeting and taking the kids to school late. Should melt off by afternoon.

Still not much going on here as far as winter. We barely have any snow on the ground. And the snow we do get is still that weird crusty stuff that sticks to everything. I had to let the truck run for like half an hour for the windshield to clear. The scraper just skims the outer layer but never gets down to the glass. I'm hating this climate change crap, I miss the old winters we used to get.

Minnesota here, no snow on the ground, none expected through most of nest week. Pretty amazing.

It was cold last night, below freezing, about mid 20s last night and there was ice on top of my vehicle this morning. Perfect weather to bundle up several layers to sleep.

We're getting (sorta) dumped on. Had about 3-4in of snow this morning but by the time i got home it was close to a foot deep. Possibly another 4-8in overnight.

The ground is still pretty warm & the rest of the week is supposed to be around 40F so it'll slowly melt.
We never get cold weather before we get snow anymore. We'll get a foot or 2 of snow before it gets really cold & the ground won't freeze. Makes for a mess.

: shudder:

It's been clear here for a change...but of course, that means cold at night. We even had a bit of frost last night. Heading for around 35 Freedom degrees tonight, then down to around freezing tomorrow night. : brrr:

Lots of wind here but not much snow. Ordered some unistrut parts so I can change the tilt on my solar panels so they can produce when it does snow, hoping a steep enough angle it will fall off. The crusty stuff may be an issue but when it builds up enough it might still fall off. Worth a shot. Wanted to do that in summer and never got around to it. Normally at this time of year it would be too late but we hardly have any snow so I should be able to get that job done. Everything might be all frozen in a crust of icy snow though but I should be able to use a heat gun to at least get to the bolts. Beats working in direct sunlight in middle of summer when it's like 30 degrees out. This summer was brutal hot and these hot summers are probably the new norm so best to try to do jobs like this in winter. Suppose to be warm on saturday and the wind should die down so I can at least get the panels down as I doubt my parts will come in to finish it off.

I'm even contemplating adding on to my deck later this year but I don't know if they stock PT in winter, I've never wanted to buy some at this time before. There's like no snow at all on the ground other than just the crusty stuff, it's so weird this year, but it does create an opportunity to work on outside projects without being in the heat of summer.

The rain has just turned to snow. Unfortunately there's a glaze of ice on most surfaces now :(

Between now & sometime Saturday we could get a foot or more of snow here.

rained for about 3 hours then turned to snow. We have about an inch for now.

Much colder air is coming and we are going to get a bunch of snow Friday and much colder temps.

:)

Wet and warm but then the cold front shoves its way in for a cold but green Christmas.

Blizzard conditions yesterday. Went in to Target, was drizzling and low 30sF. When I came out, snowing very hard, temp dropped 5 deg. Overall, 8.7 inches of snow, wind gusts over 60 mph, temps went below 0F overnight. Usually Mdot does a great job of clearing the roads, but now it is so cold chemicals dont work well and freeways have black ice.

Fuck that. I wouldn't mind a couple of inches of snow...as long as it melted off in a couple of days...but 8+" in one storm...and temps below 0F? NO THANKS.

Currently 60F and raining. Rained all last night and the 10" of snow we had a week ago is all gone.

Same ... and you won't catch me complaining! :D

It was 35f in Orlando Florida last night while I was sleeping comfortably with the windows open in New England... o_O

Yea, we had a mild winter before that (for Mn at least), but this was pretty brutal. Looks like another big storm coming in next week.

It's been snowing since yesterday evening. We have around 3 - 4 inches of snow.

It's cold and windy with blowing snow. It should calm down tonight.

I have been through alot worse. Along lake Michigan the snow started at 5P and stopped about 6A the next day. The wind blew for 10 minutes would stop for 5 minutes and start again. I was in a motel. When I looked out my window from the 2nd floor the cars in the parking lot were buried. When I finally got out there was nothing open at 5 P. When I had finished my business in town I headed back to MN. Twenty miles on the Interstate I had to pull over and knock the frozen snow and ice off the front tires to get them back to a balance state.
