Second full week full of +90's F. I guess the good news is that my home town, some 1,000 miles north of me, is also experiencing the same damn thing. And that has always been the rub in my family, being half are from the southern states, in that they always thought the north never gets hot. Yeah, right, and we had the summer heat and no AC.

Ouch, Summer heat and no A/C. I have no idea how I lived that way in an apartment when I was single. Anyway, Hot and Humid in NH of late; temps in the 90's.

I really wish my job would just commit to long term full time remote work so I could move to Door County WI where its a good 10ish degrees cooler most of the summer

Nearly perfect day to work in. 18C, overcast. Only thing is it keeps sprinkling rain a bit, not a big deal and actually kind of refreshing without a shirt on, but it means I can't really take out and setup all my power tools in case it starts to rain harder. Finally did get started on the deck though, lot of the work was manual without power tools, just to lay out the beams etc. For some reason I'm not feeling it today though, feeling kinda meh. So I stopped for now, but I will probably regain some energy in the evening, that's usually what happens. Still got some progress done today though.

there are Southerners that believe it snows all year up here in Canada.

We have been getting way too many 90F+ days here, not including the humidity.

You can't just use any milk though, it has to be giant's milk. Cow milk goes bad fast and it smells but the giant's milk seems to never go bad. That stuff used to be hard to get but since the wall was torn down it makes commerce with the freefolk easier.

I'm pretty excited, we've got our first touch of a tropical storm this weekend, and maybe a second forming for next week! Huzzah!!

We actually had two fairly nice days in a row...so, of course, it rained (just a light drizzle) last night...with a chance of more drizzle today.

Ugh another heat wave coming on my time off. High 20's and 30's again. I just want a normal 15-20C summer day so I can work on my deck without drowning in my own sweat. I will need to just grudgingly do it though, I really want this deck done so I can use up the lumber and redo the lawn in that spot, since it's shot at this point.

Hurricane Hanna expected to hit Corpus this afternoon. Hoping to get some much needed rain in South Texas.

How do you keep your igloos from melting? AC would help on the inside...but outside?
Polymer Ice blocks is a thing. You just need to get the water from the part of the ocean with more micro-plastic.

Full on heat wave again. Was +30 today. Worked a bit on the deck, the wind was strong so it kind of helped but it's more like a blow dryer at those temps. I put in around 4 joists and that was enough for me. It will get built eventually. :p

Just wish we could get some nice 15-20C overcast days. Seems those don't exist anymore.

Currently 71f (accuweather sez "real feel temp" is 81f) heading for a high of 74...possibly the hottest day of the year (so far) here.
