Hey guys,

Sure you hear these are really common Q's, but I've searched a bit and I can't seem to find simple answers to them. Plus my brain is fried after a long day of class, so bear with me here, I'm running on empty.

Ok, set up a P3@1050Mhz and a P2-350. If I like RC5 more than Seti, I might sign up a TBird@900 and another P3@1050Mhz. I'm waiting a bit before I get my PW to sign up under Anandtech.

1. I hear alot of talk about "flushing" to certain servers. Is there any specific server I should put in the DNet client so it flushes there?

2. My P3@1050Mhz is only getting around 2.9Mkeys/s-3.0Mkeys/s. Is this slow? I hear some people talk about getting 3.8Mkeys/s and such, are those Athlons that are just faster clock per clock at RC5? I have also been doing some stuff while RC5 has been going, so it might be faster when I just let my machine sit idle.

3. I signed up the P2-350 and put the client to "Quiet" mode. Is there any way I can routinely check-in on the client. It's running, but I don't know how to change perferences on it if I have to in the future.

Well, that's all for now. Hopefully I can give some more "MOOOOOO" to TA-RC5. :)

As for checking on your quiet client, turn logging on for it; as long as the log continues to be written to, you know that it's working, and how well it's doing.:)

Def, If you want to change settings on a quiet one, just open up a DOS box, change the directory until you're in where the client is installed, then type: dnetc -config and it should open up the client's configuration settings. Otherwise you could just use Notepad and edit the dnetc.ini file manually.

I've got three quiet ones at work. I just keep an eye on the size of the buff-out.rc5 file. If it gets bigger, it's still working. hehe
