Just Cause 3

I really wish they would allow for private hosted multiplayer servers kind of like trade wars used to do way back in the the day.

But man it does look good anyway.

Really nobody is playing this on console!?

I loved JC2 but really concerned about performance issues I'm reading about on consoles. I have a ps4, which is doing better than xbone, but still up to 3 minute load times after death in some circumstances. Anybody here using a ps4 and actually not being frustrated by the load times?

Here is a great video PC gamer put up about the comparison between PC and xbone.

I've just been using the thread in PC gaming because there wasn't one here, but I've been playing on the PS4.

Basically, I wish I waited until it was $30 or so. It's not worth the full price because of the performance issues and INCREDIBLY long load times. If the XB1 is even worse I would have tried to return the game. It makes retrying challenges awful because the time it takes to put you back at the start of the challenge is way too long. You're staring at the loading screen longer than the actual challenge lasts.

I loved JC2, one of my favorite open world games. JC3 SHOULD be just as good if not better because the gameplay is there, but the loading times, performance hiccups, and feel of the controls just sets it back. Maybe the load times can be helped in a patch which would help a lot, but I'm not expecting that to happen.

Maybe it'll get better with the next update, nothing that can't get patched I guess.

I was a PC master race too until I bought a PS4, a new TV and got my man cave up and running. Playing on a 50" 1080p screen sitting in a couch is amazing 😛

I'll buy JC3 on the PS4 too when the load times are taken care of.

Not knowing enough about game design, I don't see the load times improving much with patches. I may be wrong though, just seems like something that's too core to the game to be fixed in a patch.

Most of my gripes with the game are minor, but the loading times take away a lot of the fun. With a game like this I like to mess around with different weapons, vehicles, etc and find new ways to take down enemies... though a lot of times that means accidently dying in the process. When you have to wait for a long loading screen to try something else it stops being fun quickly. Now I find myself taking the boring/easy way out of attacking stuff because I don't want to risk dying, and that's just not what a game like this was designed for.

Ever thought about running a steam link? You can enjoy your couch and tv, but still run games at max settings.

I have to imagine it can be patched to fix the load times. There's simply no way it should have to reload EVERY resource from disk. And even if it did, it shouldn't take a minute to read a couple GB of data from a hard disk. There's something it's doing wrong, and I'm willing to bet it can be fixed.

We really should combine the PC and console gaming forums into a single forums, if people can get over their childish platform bickering.

I think they talked about doing that shortly after Jimi Hendricks finishes the guitar solo he's playing on the back of a golden pegasus.

Thanks, that clinches it. No JC3 for me, what a shame. But I won't stare at long loading screams after regular deaths, no interest in that. It sounds like the game becomes very repetitive pretty early in any case.

I agree console and pc should be joined.
