Just came from THG, and thought the wire unlock was cool!

How would the manufacturer know that you did it? I also wonder if this could be applied to the entire range of AMD locked CPUs? It's certainly easier than than joining the bridges method. Anyone have a clue, or want to use their spare CPU?

Very interesting. I had heard about this, but didn't realize that it was _SO_ easy. I wonder if all of the bridge modifications [L5 XP->MP for example] could be executed via pins, as opposed to the cut/lock method?

I have a pin diagram for an XP-1600 I found a while back. I suppose I could give it a try. My fingers are not dainty, so it may be a few days, but time is free, and easy speed is priceless. I'm assuming from the THG article, that it is only the pins corresponding to the bridges that you want connected.
