THE IDE CABLE ISNT LONG ENOUGH FOR CD AND HARD DRIVE lol damn

is there any programs i can download to put on a floppy to test all the components?


the ide cable has a strange cut on one of the wires also, so i might buy 2 new ones.

EDIT : cpu running at 55 to 60 degese C , so the mobo says.

hopefully this is with the updated bios that bumps the temps up 15C or else its 65 to 70 :S :S

EDIT : mobo is gigabyte 7n400e-l

do i have to load dos onto the floppy or will it run with just the 4 files?

i tried just the 4 files and it tells me non system disk ....

i havnt got a hard drive in there yet so no os or dos.

where should i get dos ?

when you run the setup utility for floppy it should make it into a bootable disk

double click on install... it will format the disk and set it up for you
