Just built a new computer from scratch but getting hung up at one screen.

The screen says this,

"Verifying DMI Pool Data"


It won't move on from there, any reason why it would be doing this?

You don't have an OS installed.

Unplug all floppies, hds, cdroms. reset the bios and let it boot without the drives. Then reinstall one item at a time.

more likely there is but not setup for the new build
