Just broke the iPhone screen

Which iPhone? If you want to fix it yourself, it could be ~$100 (iPhone 5) to fix it. Could be $375 (iPhone 6S Plus)

If it's a newer iPhone (5/c/s, 6/s, 6/s Plus), Apple will replace the screen in store (MAKE AN APPOINTMENT, a lot of people don't then get irritated because the Genius Bar is appointment based, and they couldn't just walk in and get their problem resolved), or I think some Best Buys are authorized to do the same.

I mean, honestly at those prices, if the Apple Store isn't too far away from you, might as well avail yourself of their services, especially for the 6/S and 6/S Plus

By a fu**ing accident.

Not to make light of your situation but I think a lot of us have broken a smartphone screen at some point. So don't beat yourself up about it.

I haven't since my iPhone 3GS but for the last couple of years I have been religious about putting glass screen protectors on all my phones.

I have only broken smartphone screens intentionally. Never by accident. In fact, I have an iphone 6 that a user dropped in the toilet a couple of days ago and if I can't get it working again I will have fun smashing it.:sneaky:

Not me! (yet, fingers crossed)

The only thing that's ever broke was a glass screen protector, which I promptly removed and never applied another one. What a friggin racket... pay extra to apply thin, fragile glass on top of the stronger properly engineered main glass. Being thinner and weaker it breaks easier, then you have to buy more of them. Wish I thought of that

Mounted new screen in Apple Store. 100$+ Real expensive. Warranty does not cover the cost, lol.

Ordered Glass Screen Prt. Awaiting...

Just sell it on Ebay as BRAND new. :awe:

You bet you do. I have spent at least $30 on them the last year alone. I just hate the feel of a plastic screen protector.

I'm just careful, and use a case that covers the screen when I'm not using it. High steel, back country, and generally filthy environments... My screen still looks pretty good. If you were to really study it, you might find a couple microscratches, but anyone would be happy to have my screen.

Turned it on last night and there were some water marks on the screen. Put it on my radiator for a few hours and it appears the phone is working perfectly. No water marks on the screen. Gonna sell it as fully working but water did enter it so water sticker flags are no doubt triggered.
