JUST BROKE: Ted Turner to resign from AOL Time Warner

Breaking news on CNN - details to come.

Maybe he likes pirating movies and music like so many of us.

Good. He's a prick anyway. He should take his Anti-American wife and go live in North Korea. Permanently.

He's no longer married to Hanoi Jane - or, did they just get separated? Meanwhile, WTF is up with Time Warner AOL? Steve Case resigned a few weeks back, now Ted. Are they going to tank??

AOL going out of business....ah, the sweet irony of it all!!

Unlikely though. They own like what, 99% of the dialup internet connections in the USA? :Q

Wje, now that I think about it, I do believe you're correct...I remember reading something in the paper awhile back about them splitting...

They just wrote off $40 billion in losses for the quarter and its not looking good. Time Warner AOL was one of the worst mergers in the history of corporate america. :)

/edit: $45 billion!

What the hell has he been doing for the past several years anyways? It's been Steve Case, Gerald Levin, & Richard Parsons running the company. Ted Turner doesn't do jack. I have never liked him.

/edit: $45 billion!

Make it $100 Billion.

Edit: Largest Loss in U.S. Corporate History.
I'm sure he is not too thrilled to be associated with this debacle any longer.

He pretty much owns the Lousiana Purchase. I'm sure he has stuff to do.

So long! Don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out!

FYI: Ted Turner is the one who though that people who skip the commercials (by going to get something to eat or something) are "thieves"

Wow...never thought I'd see the day that AOL both lost Ted Turner and had earnings of -$22.15. Interesting to see how many people could have predicted this at the time of the merger.
