See title. Anyone know how to get around these things? It is a plastic cover which has some sort of black strip on the bottom. I'm pretty pissed, after spending over $4000 there including 2 TVs (one being Plasma screen), and they forget to take the security devices off the video games.

That'd take a lot of hope. Walking into a store and showing them a box with the security device attached, and saying they forgot to take them off when you left earlier?

Kind of odd that they didn't set off an alarm on the way out. The larger security devices aren't meant to be disabled by passing them over a device like a Sensormatic unit, as the internal metal tags are.

If it's just plastic, get a pair of wire cutters and gnaw through it. Or a saw.
 
There's a sensor with GPS in there and when the seal is broken the GPS tracks down the location of the stolen item(s) and the Swat Team arrives at your door with 1 or 2 minutes.

I heard a lot of those are water proof so throwing it in some water wont do anything. Just cut of off, throw it in the trash and be done with it.

No, he literally meant he has mental patients in his basement with random power tools that he uses to cirviumvent security devices, should CC forget to remove them.
 
IIRC, the newer Security devices are not removed at the store. They simply scan them at the register so they don't set off the Security Alarm.
Otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to leave the store with them.
If they bother you, simply remove them.
