Yes, but they don't offer subscriptions here. :(

I've looked into it, and it would be perfect if they would get off their ass and offer the damn service here! The only way you could make it work was if you had an American billing address that you could have the mail forwarded from.

Several Acura-CL.com members have successfully mounted the antenna on the rear deck. Even with tint applied the reception was okay. However, YMMV. Btw, why didn't you consider Sirius?

My ears tell me Sirius has slightly better SQ than XM. Then again, i'm picky when it comes to sound.

So what does it do? Links? :)

I have friends who lives in USA. Some of them wouldn't mind paying the bills for me as long as I pay them.

So is it worth it? What does it do/offer?

Sirius is so new, and also MANY car companies are offering XM....and if they get manufacturer's support, i just figure they're the way to go

plus, i researched XM a lot back when i was in school...even wrote a paper on them!

XMRadio
Sirius

It's basically a satellite radio feed for your car. I want one because then I can listen to one continuous broadcast from the minute I get in my car to the time I get out at work an hour later.

I can't believe this hasn't caught on like wildfire with truckers, as it seems they would be a perfect market for uninterruptable radio nationwide.

Nice.

Sounds like it's definitely worth it. Especially for 10 bucks.

So technically if I got subscription, it should work for me in Canada also? Considering how close I am to Seattle, it should work fine here. :)

It'd be cool if they carry a portable unit in the future.

sony makes a unit that you can take out of your car and plug in at your house which looks cool

i went with the simple pioneer unit cause it was cheaper and smaller

What I want is to be able to use it in bith cars. Being able to toss it in the company vehicle would be nice also.

Does that sony unit do that?

not really, cause you still need a permanently mounted external antenna

they make some magnetic antennas though...but it still has to interface with your headunit...not completely wireless

Fair enough. Through you can say the same for Sirius btw. Aston Martin, Audi, BMW, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Mercury/Lincoln, Mazda and a couple other Japanese brands are signed up with Sirius. ;)

well, it's gonna be interesting to watch what happens. i think the whole "first to market" thing might be a great advantage for XM, but who knows!

yeah, either that or they're going to go the way of most companies... Can you say Merger?

Heheh... "XM is Sirius" or "Sirius-ly XM"
