Just bought the Droid Eris

Had mine since Nov. 6th, and love it. I'd like to see 2.1 on it but as it is, it does everything I want it to....

With the exception of Google Navigation. Come on VZW we know you have the ROM, and it works.

Why not just load the leaked version?

Just because the bugs. I figured I'll stick it out for a bit longer, and see how the rooted versions go. Both the straight up leaks have the call/silence bug, and I can't have that.

Understandable. I have yet to encounter that issue, so I tend to forget about it.

I have the Droid Eris. It is a pretty good phone, but lacks the performance I would like. My fingers are big so the touch screen can be a pain, but overall it is okay. If you want a real toy to play with, I suggest going with one of the more powerful Android phones. Also Verizon are treating the Droid Eris users as second class citizens. I called last week to find out when the Eris will get a 2.1 update and they didn't have a date. But a date has been set already for the Moto Droid.

The Moto 2.1 update is out. Meanwhile we have two leaked release candidates.

It isn't like they announced a date for the Moto update either (at least one they kept), those users were in the dark as well until the update started going out.

Not that I'd really care if it did, the phone was free.

Just bought a new one on Ebay hope I will be happy with it. My first venture into a smartphone with VZW

im interested in eris also but i know it is quite a bit slower than droid. what is a reasonable price to pay for eris--$200?
