Well I pulled the triger agian.. carbon fiber termignoni pipes for my 1098..I have 400 miles on the bike I need to put 200 more on it so I will get the first service done along with the pipes installed.

Here are pics of bike before pipes.. I will update when the the pipes come in and when I get them installed..

they come with an ECU and have to get the (TPS) Throttle Position Sensor reset when it gets installed at the dealer..

Man, I've always thought Ducks looked like a hot babe, your pictures just reinforce my stereotype.

Beautiful.

Termignioni's are sex. When I went to the AMA Superbike Championships at Infineon earlier this year there were several 999's and a couple 1098's with them installed. Effin incredible looking, especially when they integrate into the fairings.

I also recently bought a 1098...

Figures I got a screw in my rear tire at around 480 miles yesterday.

What made you decide to install the passenger pegs?

Edit:

Also, did you get the full system or just slip-ons?

I bought the slip-ons for mine even though I actually really like the stock sound.. I'm more interested in reducing some of the heat from the cats.

I am sure you already know this but the slip on are the same pipes that come with the full 70mm pipes.. you can buy the ecu and the fornt part of the full system if and when you want to go with the full pipes.

Yeah but I doubt I'll go that route.. I really don't care about the extra 8hp over the slip-ons... The power/delivery is fine imo, I just wanted to get rid of the cats.

I also ordered a 40T rear sprocket.. My mechanic said going down 1 in the front is okay, but I feel like it stresses the chain a bit more and on some bikes will cause the chain to rub on the plastic buffers on the swingarm.

I noticed in your pics you have the newer after-recall sprocket :) What is the build date on your bike? I specifically picked the newest at the dealer - 5/08.

Oh - I have also ordered helibars, however I'm finding that the stock bars actually aren't that bad. The riding position is extreme but it just 'fits' me..
