Just bought some scratch tickets...

And lost.

$4 down the drain........unless I win it back with more scratch tickets.....

When I was about 18 or 19, I had a run of winning tickets and ended up winning about $50 one night. I barely ever buy scratch tickets, so in the years since, I've probably broken even.

What's the most you've ever won on scratch tickets?

Did you check your states lottery website to see which scratchers had already payed out most of the big prizes before buying them? If not you should the next time you plan on buying some.

They were an impulse buy. I thought to myself "What would go well with this bag of Hot Fries?" And I guess the answer was 2 $2 losing scratch tickets.

I've heard ? don't know if I'm pronouncing this right, Fez Naptha? It's suppose to be some old petroleum based soap that works great.

We are doing a tap tomorrow, that I could bet, is full of trees with poison ivy

Yeah. Just having to walk through it constantly will attract the oils onto your shoes and through your pants. I have it on my legs and I know i wasn't in contact with it at anytime with my pants off, lol

Fels Naptha is what you're thinking of. If you rub the petroleum jelly on any open skin and wear long sleeves and cotton gloves. You'll be a lot better off. The oils from poison ivy are persistent so, even if you wear work gloves, wearing cotton ones underneath is helpful because they're easy to launder.

Hate to say it but it's one thing I love about winter time. No poison ivy! Although i did have a poison ivy twig poke me in the back of my throat last winter and i had a "sctratchy" throat for a while.. didn't realize it was a poison ivy branch till a few days later.

Tax for the stupid.

All that aside, I have a friend who has worked a full time gas station job for nigh on 8 years now. When it comes to scratch offs - And regarding those decently priced tickets (the only ones worth buying) - there is *usually* a big winner in the first 10 of a new pack. Without fail they would buy up the first set of tickets in a new roll of $20 games, and 80% of the time get $500.

That's what I've heard, to a degree. The lower numbered tickets have a better chance of winning.

I've gone on a couple scratch ticket benders with a friend back in grad school..good fun. $220 was the biggest win but basically got us back to near even.
