So I bought a lenovo y510p and it came with a

Dual (2x) NVIDIA® GeForce® GT755M 2GB (on select models) via Ultrabay
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT755M 2GB
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT750M 2GB

I bought the 750m single bay and the other bay is a bluray player.

I am thinking about buying the other card, how much improvement would it give me though?

With the 1 card I should be able to play games like tomb raider and bioshock infinity at med, would I be able to max out if I added the second card? This is replacing the desktop that is in my signature.

To buy the new card would run around $300 because I need to buy a bigger power adapter with it.

Is it worth the $ do you guys think?

Running SLI on the notebook will bring a substantial improvement of around 60-70% in most games. While microstutter might become a problem, its really only at low fps that it becomes noticible.

Heat is a minor problem. The 510p will run the GPUs around 80 degrees but that should be fine, just clean out the dust.

The biggest gain will be higher fps rather than higher settings. For instance, instead of tomb raider at med/high (both those games will run at med/high at 1080p with a 750/755m) at ~40 fps. You will be able to get 60 fps. Turning up settings to get a visual improvement at the same 40 fps may introduce microstutter, though nvidia mobile drivers are really good.

Ill call lenovo tomorrow and see about the 750+755 combo, or if they have the matching one I need
