Just bought my very first car!

Black 2004 Kia Rio, standard with 58,000km. Don't have pics yet but looks just like This One except I got it for $4,000 CA. Dealer had just got it 2 days before and posted it as a 2003 but then realized his mistake and was about to raise the price to $4,500. Really good condition and happily has no power ANYTHING. I'm pretty happy with it. It still has some limited warranty on it too.

I figured out that the hood was replaced based on the sticker numbers, so brought it to a mechanic to determine if it was ever in an accident, everything looked really good at in shape with no sign of accident so the replacement hood didn't bother me. There are a couple minor dents, the biggest one being on the left rear passenger's side in front of the wheel. There are other little nicks and scratches over the body that you have to look really closely to see.

Now I just gotta improve my driving a standard skills :laugh:

Looks like a swished Dodge Spirit, but for the money, not a bad choice. My co-worker has a 2009 one, he seems pretty happy.

AFAIK, that's a very good deal. Kias are not luxurious, fast, big, or desirable, but the more recent models will go from point A to point B with minimal hassle and use of fuel. Better a Kia with 55k than a Civic SI with 170,000 and a dubious engine swap.

A ten year old civic ex with 150k on the clock would would of been cheaper and more reliable..asuming it was stock and taken Care off ofcourse

heh, crank windows can break pretty easily... it's just a plastic handle leading to a plastic gear....

Exactly! Not just cheaper but more reliable and lighter. Power windows have always broken on my parents vehicles, requiring hundreds to repair every time, only to break again a year or two later.

Nope not even power steering, took a few minutes to get used to, especially the first left hand turn while trying to shift, lol :laugh: I tell myself my arms will be stronger for it
