So I just bought MY first new car (as in, the first one actually in my name). My previous weren't in my name but my parents (I paid them for it) but last night I bought a brand new 2006 Mustang!!!
Its fully loaded with the pony package and all. V6, not the GT (Couldn't afford that right now). I got the legend lime with black trip down the bottom. It looks fricken amazing. I haven't had a chance to take any pictures durin gthe day yet, I'll get some tomorrow morning and throw them up on here. The pictures of that color on the ford website doesn't do it justice.
I did have a few questions though, for those of you really into cars or that own mustangs.
1. I was doing some reading on a few Mustang forums about how people are making performance mods to their V6. Why would you want to buy a V6 and then do supercharge it or something along those lines to make it go faster, why not just buy a V8? Im sure there are some reasons, Im just missing them.
2. I was thinking about possibly tinting the windows. Any idea how much something like that would cost me to get it done professionally?
3. I want to keep the paintjob looking like new for as long as I possibly can (aka forever). Any tips on which products to use and what process to go about doing so?
4. This is more for people with the 05-06 Mustangs. Ive got the Shaker 500 System with the 6 CD/MP3 changer, which is badass by the way. If I wanted to upgrade the system though, would it be feasible to keep the deck (I like the way it looks and the fact that its 6 CDs)? Also, which aspects would be best to upgrade. I would imagine a subwoofer would be important to get that added bass. Maybe an AMP? Im not overly familiar with audio equipment so excuse my newbness. Are the speakers sufficient to keep in there? (I hear they are pretty good, but like I said I don't really know enough to say they are or aren't.)
Thanks for any help/comments.
