Oh one thing I didn't mention to make this deal even sweeter....

Went to the casino yesterday and won $300. So this vacuum is paid for courtesy of the Casino 🙂

I was lucky to find one real cheap in the Target clearance section. Damn fine vacuum. Almost a shame to make the wife vaccum all the time.

How much have you lost at the casino the other times you were there though? People are funny, they always tell you about the time they won at the casino but never tell you how much they've lost. Aside from those extremely rare instances nobody ever comes out ahead playing odds at a casino...well, except the casino of course.

In reality, that vacuum cleaner probably cost you $10,000. 😛

i have the old version of this, the DC15 i think. bought mine about 3 years ago then they later discontinued it. then a couple of years later this smaller ball model comes out. they won't even include a retractable cord for 400 freaking dollars...

FYI these things have EXTREMELY aggressive beater bars. The reason they 'suck up' so much more 'dirt' is that the 'dirt' is actually carpet fibers being ripped up which makes you think it actually has better suction.

If you have cheap carpet it will take about 4-5 years of vacuuming before you end up with bare spots.

No joke.. Next time you empty your canister take a close look at the contents. I had one of the earlier yellow models, DC07 I think, and it ended up destroying my apartment carpet after a few years. Granted I claimed it as 'normal wear and tear' but gave the thing away when I bought a home. I replaced it with the Eureka Boss (or whatever it's called, the consumer reports recommended one) and LOVE it. It filters much much better and hepa filter bags are dirt cheap on amazon.

A vacuum is nothing more than an air pump with a giant filter (whether it's a bag or a cartridge or whatever). Look at the dyson "filters".. most of the dust is just being pushed through the foam and dumped back into your house.

A hepa bag will filter much better and allow more airflow.. Just sayin..

... I will add that the build quality of the dyson is imo superior to my eureka. The eureka has flimsy handle latches, a stupid cord holder, and is loud. Everything else is awesome.

I've been to the Casino & gamble 3 times in my life.

Once on my 21st birthday won $450.
2nd time when my parent came up from Florida for a visit. Won ~$280
3rd time is yesterday. Won $300.

All Blackjack.

I find that hard to believe.

Welcome to pure vacuuming bliss. Welcome to the joy of Dyson. Enjoy!
Werd. Hater's going to hate.

If someone announced they just bought a Lexus LS460, some jackal would come in and say it's a waste of money and his Hyundai accent would do the same thing for 1/10 less of a price.

I find that hard to believe.

I could believe someone getting lucky 3 times if they knew how to play blackjack. As the number of trips to the casino gets higher and higher, you are gonna start to lose money though, no matter how good you think you are. (At least when you are playing the house)

I find that hard to believe.
Believe it my friend.:awe:

Haven't lost a single dollar to Atlantic City. I don't get greedy when I play.

If it's $100 I won it's $100 more than i came down with. I was up $400 when the dealer started a new deck. Lost 4 hands in a row so I called it quit with my $300 winning.

Are you sure you had a Dyson? My DC-14 Animal has a HEPA filter cartridge...and FWIW, if the thing sucks up loose carpet fibers, that's fine with me, as long as it also gets all the pet hair and dirt.
