I just finished installing the 8800GT. The motherboard turns on fine (all fans spin including video card), but I don't get any display or any hard drive activity. Galaxy Geforce 8800GT

I tried removing all the peripherals (hopefully to minimize the power usage), but same symptoms. PSU is Allied 400W. The mobo makes no beep whatsoever.

The OLD one for EVGA 7600GT. This one works fine when I plugged it back in. My motherboard is Biostar PT880 PRO Comobo . It's pretty dated and only support 16X PCI-E at 4X.

I am guessing it's the motherboard. Any suggestions?

Looks like it could be. You probably wouldn't want to run that card at 4x anyway. Have you updated chipset drivers & BIOS? Are all power connections made including to the card? Check specs on PSU to see if it's up to snuff.

Some quick googling reveals that the PSU is only rated at 10a on the 12v rail. This won't push an 8800GT. I could be wrong though -- there's not a whole lot of info on that thing. Also, running the card at 4x is really not going to do you much good.
