Just bought Corsair Vengeance 2*4GB kit at 1600 Mhz, need help with timings

I have an Asus M4A78T-E motherboard and AMD Phenom II X4 processor.
I recently installed Corsair Vengeance DDR3 Ram, 2 sticks of 4 GB each @ 1600 Mhz on slots 1 & 2 of the mobo.
In the BIOS settings I have left everything at 'AUTO' settings. I had checked in CPUZ and it is showing FSB😀RAM ratio as 3:10 and Timings as 11-11-11-29. What changes do I need to make to bring down the timings and bring the ratio closer to 1:1.

PS: Do I need to do this?

Yes to run in dual-channel mode they need to be in the correct slots. They are usually color coded on the mobo, or in a config of:
<SLOT><SLOT> <SPACE><SLOT><SLOT>

You'd want it like this:

<RAM<SLOT><SPACE><RAM><SLOT>
or
<SLOT><RAM><SPACE><SLOT><RAM>

As far a timings jut load up CPU-Z, go to the memory/spd tab, jot down all the settings and codes, then go to your BIOS and match the 3 letter codes to the numbers from the SPD.

Examples:

EDIT: P.S. CPU-Z will also tell you if it is running correctly. See in the top left where it reads "dual" "symmetrical". That shouldn't read "single" or "asymmetrical"!

You are talking about Intel crap
He have an AMD
Usally those setting picked by SPD info from memory module.
riteshshergill, You need to have memory installed Dimm A1 and Dimm B1 or Dimm B2 Dimm B2

Goto Adavance menu and set the manualy (Dram Timing Configuration)
You can also pring out Maual pages from Chapter 3.5
Also you may also want to look into QLV list too
CPU Z should show Dual Channel and Ungaged
I dunno you can run 1:1
but it may look some thig like this

Actually that "intel crap" is exactly the same as what he & you have on your AMD; it just has slightly different terminology.

You said exactly what I said, one DIMM on channel A slot 1 and anther one channel B slot 1.

huh ? No !
Terminology is SAME Dual Channel !
However implementation is different
On Intel you have to do instaltion on Interleave Dimm socket as you mention in your post.
On AMD you do not do skip a Dimm Socket!
No AMD also have a Unganded option; So in theory, may give access to data quicker

Thanks guys.. I have exactly the same settings showing up in CPUZ as Mir96TA's screenshot. I did a little bit of digging and found that my motherboard (Asus M4A7T-E) has a utility called 'EPU' to overclock on the fly. So when I click on the overclock button, it adjusts the timings as well as the FSB frequency automatically. When I set the Ram timings, it comes to the same state. So finally, I don't think I have to adjust the RAM timings or the FSB frequency manually, the Utility does it for me.. Asus Roxxxx!!
