Just bought an LG VX 4400 and signal sucks?

Ok ... so i get like a 1/4 of battery power and I'm on my way home. Only one bar on the signal strength. I get home and it's been charging for bout an hour and I only get like 1 bar.

I called the guy and he said to charge it overnight and if it does the same thing, then bring it in and he'll swap it.

Does the signal strength really sucks since I just bought it? My currently nextel phone has 3 bars inside my apartment.

LG's have the biggest problems with battery power, AND signal strength. I had the LG-TM500 for quite some time, also they're fragile. I broke 2 of those phones, and both phones would drop calls without hesitation. Now I have a Kyocera, which I gotta bring in for repair like every weekend now. POS phones I tell ya...

Hmmmmm ... someone on howardforums stated CDMA is better.

1 bar means just as good as 2-3 bars on other carriers' phones.

I'll play around with it tomorrow when I'm on my way to work.

Maybe it's becuz I just started charging it?

I've had mine for a couple years, and the charge sucks from day one. If you talk on it at all during the day it won't last more than 18 hours. I never look at the signal bars on my phone, all i know is the samsung i had worked fine in the same areas my LG cuts out.

I wish i could afford a new phone.
