Just bought an 8500LE from newegg, a few questions...

I kept reading the reviews, and couldn't pass on this deal. A high end graphics card for only $98, plus, I've been using an ATi Rage Fury I bought 2-3 years ago, and it is just not cutting it on the games I am playing today (FIFA, CS, MOHAA, etc.). Anyways, I heard it has Hynix 3.3ns at at 250/275. I never overclocked a video card before, how do I go about doing that? What 3dMark scores should I expect with a P4 2.2GHz system?

BTW newegg shoppers, I made the purchase on July 3rd, and the price has changed since. Does newegg have some kind of price adjustment since I haven't even received the card yet?

I have read about flashing the LE to make it like the retail 8500, should I go ahead do that?

I wouldn't...As far as I know this is not like the radeon 32mb ddr le's that disabled hyper z...everything is enabled just slower core setting and memory settings....

I think my le only came with 3.8ns chips as per the chips on the board...Mine is a powered by ati...

I get 9600 in 3dmark at bone stock 249.5/249.5...That is good enough for me...likely if you have 3.3ns memory you can push it past retail 275/275...

I have the 8500LE64 ($100@NewEgg).

With ramsinks and a Crystal Orb on the GPU, it's stable through 3DMark2001 @ 295/335 with Catalyst drivers. No other mods.

Hope this helps!
