I dunno if it's really neccessary.. Paid $50 for a small safe from wally world.. It's not bolted to the floor in my closet. I've got my car titles, cash, some stock info from my company,

I'm wondering if I really needed it though

I bought a fairly large one when I was a kid, because I got into small amounts of gold, silver, and coin trading. I had several thousand in value, and at the time it seemed a safe was necessary. It was neat to have when I was younger at least 🙂

I now use it for storing backup tapes, important papers, etc.

Congratulations! You've just given a lucky thief a fun puzzle to play with at home.

eh.. it could be ripped off of the floor with a decent sized crowbar..

opening it looks as though it would be diifficult. It has a 4 way key lock (as in, the key is shaped like a + sign. The lock bolt is really thick; and the metal is too thick to cut with an air powered cutting wheel.

I have a Sentry safe that I keep my Glock .40, Star .45, knife, ASP baton, and ammo clips in. The OC & cuffs stay with me (that's all I'm supposed to carry day-to-day on-campus).
