out of the box some monitors would come at 100% brightness, normal viewing on mine is 24%
so what is your brightness setting ?

I didn't All monitor settings are untouched,, also dont use nvidia to change colour... anyhow,,

Would you happen to have a link for additional info on the flicker with the benQ? I did a good a amount of research into that monitor as I was considering it for my next purchase. I don't recall running into anything about a flicker issue.

thanks for the heads up...looks like there is nothing out there for a 32 in the $600-700 range

That's some pretty bad bleed. Even if some of that was enhanced by glow I don't think that makes it any less of a badly put together unit considering it is apparently a VA panel, the panel LCD panel type with the best blacks.
