Just bought a new coat!

If you read my previous thread, I was in the market for a new winter coat. I strolled over to Eastern Mountain Sports in Ann Arbor and looked at what they had. I saw their Gore-Tex XCR-laminated coat (like The North Face's Mountain Light Shell), but it was over $200 cheaper than TNF's coat. So I decided to leave, thought about it for awhile, and went back tonight to buy it.

Here are some pics: unzipped, and zipped.

The coat is completely waterproof, and I had to buy the shell and the fleece separately. The shell was on sale for $169 (normally $229) and the fleece was on sale for $79 (normally $99). I'll definitely be putting this coat to LOTS of use walking to class on FREEZING Michigan winter mornings.

Can't a guy be happy for his coat? I had my roommate take those pictures to send to my parents, so I had to look happy.

MY bro is Professor Todd Austin teaches Semi Micro Computer Architecture.

Yeah and I like your coat 🙂

$170 for a coat?! :Q I was pissed paying $38 for a coat after a few quarts of ATF managed to make my coat quite dirty.

If you've been walking to class in Ann Arbor, MI over the past three weeks, you'd definitely understand. Besides, what is ATF?

Hmmm.... if you are that happy about a new coat. I wonder what's it going to be like when you lose your virginity.... 😉

Those pictures suck btw, they are too damed dark. Can barely see the coat.

Before you graduate, you MUST take a class with Ralph Williams or Bob Pachella.

Long shot, but do you know Andy Young? He's my lil sister's boyfriend... he lives in South Quad.

Oh, and if you go to Rick's... say hi to my friend Josh. He's one of the bouncers there... yay for 5th year seniors!

Peace,
Dezign

Don't know Andy Young...but Ralph Williams came to my high school (Pioneer - Ann Arbor) last year to give a special lecture in my Humanities class. Ralph is the shiznit - he's so funny and cool. His classes are really hard to get into, though. But darn it, I will try!
