2016 Ford Escape. She's black and I got heated seats, automatic climate control, parking assist and a nice touch screen radio with Sirius. No Navigation like whats in the picture but everything else is exactly the same. I have a wireless charging car mount for her that's going to be used for Waze on my Samsung.

Sooo excited! This is my first new car. I had a beater before!

The sticker price on the car I got was $28,000 but I was able to get my awesome Salesdude to bring the price down to just under $25,000. He was amazing!

It looks exactly like this on the inside. Sorry for no real pictures. I just drove off from the dealership like 40 minutes ago!!

We got a 2015 Ford Edge a few months back. Pretty nice!

I also replaced my beater about 2 months ago with a used 2013 Dodge Dart. It had some transmission issues right away and it was "fixed". I know, big problem, yadda, yadda, but it's actually pretty nice. Especially for what I paid for it.

2016 - good choice over the 2015 as you got Sync 3 with Apple & Google in car support - no need for the $795 Navi option.

Yea, Ive never had a good experience with Navi. My mom has that on her 2013 Corolla and with all the construction and new shit popping up in Northern Virginia....it's never correct.

The Edge is a superior vehicle overall to the Escapes, including the crash test results. And it scores worse in crash tests compared to the previous Escape redesigns. Look at the tiny amount of space they now allow you for your legs and knees. Your knees are going to be instantly broken in an accident with that tight of a configuration, and I found the seats to be particularly uncomfortable after a long ride, right at the point where the seats end behind the knees, oddly enough. And I could not adjust the seat in a comfortable position to alleviate this constant pressure behind the knees on the legs.

On the flip side, it handles really well and the controls are very ergonomic and user friendly. But unfortunately I found the ride on a long trip to be a bit stiff, especially with the poorly designed seats pounding into the backs of my legs over every tiny bump in the road.

The new Escape redesign was a big step down overall, in my opinion. But then again, it probably wasn't designed with a nearly 6 foot tall person in mind in the first place.

I felt like my knees had plenty of room. Too much actually :) I need to go out to the car tomorrow and adjust my seat because I still can't find a comfortable distance away from the steering wheel. Of course, I think big dudes will probably have a harder time in a little crossover like the Escape

Congrats and thanks for buying American!

NP! My Grandad worked for Ford for like 30 years. My Grandma worked at GM. This is how my father's side of the family got to Detroit. My Grandparents moved to Detroit back when the auto industry was still doing well.

My other choices were the Honda HR-V, the Nissan Rouge, and the Chevy Trax.

Really like ford. I think they are definitely the best American car maker and it's really not even close. Congrats and good decision imo. Very practical crossover.

Nice Car.

We're all rocking Porsches, Mercedes Benz, Beamers, and Lamborghinis on ATOT. In fact, I just took my Porsche out for a quick run. Might hop in ma jet next. :)

Because the Escape used to be merely a rebranded, redesigned European Mazda Tribute, that's why. Ford used to own a controlling share of Mazda, therefor, Mazda was ultimately managed and run by Ford. Now, however, since their "divorce" they claim no 2 parts are the same on these 2 vehicles, though. But you can still see the obvious design similarities between them.

http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/24/2013-ford-escape-vs-2013-mazda-cx-5-comparison-review/

And let me be clear, I'm a definite Ford fan, and have been since I had a 1956 Fairlane with a Tbird V8 in it that ran, and ran, and ran, and couldn't be killed, and it even killed a 57 Chevy it raced against one day, when the guys engine literally blew up. Unfortunately, severe frame rust to the point the engine was about to fall out finally did kill it, even though the body was perfect on it.

Cars like this make me wonder when the car manufactures actually implant lips in the seat so it kisses your ass. I mean climate control?

my dad, may he rest in peace, worked at our Ford plant (Talbotville) for nearly 20 years before taking early retirement. That plant made Crown Vics, Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Cars.

Congrats on the new car!
