A company where my friend works has a ton of extra drives laying around and I just bought a MAP3147NC for $50 and a 36GB Raptor for $25. I hope he has more of each. I am going to keep my raptor around just for a cold spare for my server which is running 2 in RAID 1. I have never done scsi before, what this seems like a damn fast drive and at 147GB is plenty for a nice OS drive. Anybody have any experience with this drive or scsi in general?
My other concern is if I even have enough power in my storage/game machine. I currently have 6 UATA drives in it as well as a 3200+, 1 GB ram, and a 6800 ultra. Adding a large scsi drive might kill my power little 400 watt Antec PS.
