I don't understand the whole "sub-ohm" deal, IMPO it has just become a contest as to who can create the biggest fog-cloud and little to do with vaping enjoyment. You simply do not need 150 watts of power to vape, I can spew out a big cloud running mt MPV 20W @ 10.5 watt's.

Ehh, anybody else using a USB bypass so they don't have to deal with batteries?

I bought some of these, and use em with cheap 2ML clear tanks (I got like a dozen for $10) ... I have the bypass connected to a 5 port USB hub I had layin around (most USB chargers or ports won't have enough power, but powered hub does)

Anyhow, It gives more vapor than the ego type battery, it's dirt cheap, and I just keep it plugged in when I'm in front of the PC, no charging or recharging. I typically only vape in front of the PC at home, so I don't need the mobility of a battery except when I'm travelling.

As far as ejuice goes, all the ones the stuff at fasttech is cheap as hell, but it is also bland as hell. Pretty much all Chinese brands.

The best I've had thus far, has been the Tobacco Virginia from Durasmoke which I got at my local ecig shop. It tastes pretty good, though not as good as actual tobacco.

It's all about preference. Some people are into clouds, others are into flavor. And some, like myself, prefer a balance of both.

Honestly I would never go back to non sub-ohm builds.

Wasn't my intent, just curious why others don't either give it up or just full on smoke? I never got the burn with vape that I did with cigs, so I was sucking down twice as much garbage.

EDIT: Also congrats! I'm right behind ya. My lungs aren't 100% recovered obviously but at 6 months are you breathing 'tar' free so to speak? Big difference?
You didn't have the right amount of pg in your juice, probably used sucky cartomizers, or bad juice, could be a whole set of different things. Why would anyone go back to cigs I have no idea.

I went from high mg juice to 3mg and sometimes I vape 0mg nicotine. I enjoy it and my cravings have gone away pretty much, they don't hit as bad as when I was quitting cold turkey. The same reason people go to hookah bars, it's enjoyable more so than smoking tar and tons of other chemicals in cigarettes.

Yup that will happen. I still can't make a perfect coil. Using a drill bit I always end up starting wrong, twisting the wire on the initial roll loose or crooked, etc. Pete brusardo mentioned a coil master kit in one of his reviews that comes with posts for 2, 2.5, and 3mm widths. Its pretty neat because you put the post on, screw on a cap then feed the wire though a hole and start twisting the other end cap.

Its pricey and it makes a perfect coil but I figure by using the manual method I'll just eventually get better.

Those kits are awesome. A perfect coil every single time.

That said, I bought a sub tank mini and love it. Coils last a long time and flavor/vapor production are great. Putting up the Lemos for a while and ordering a second sub tank. Just tired of building and wicking plus the leaks if not wicked exactly right. That's worth a $3 could every week of so to me.

Do I buy the juice or not?!?!?!?!?!

Hold off for now. 1st of all is it PG or VG based?, what kind of flavorings are you going to get and what quality are they?. I've tasted some pretty nasty crap that was supposed to be good, are there any reviews on the site from other buyers about the quality of what your getting?

My first *working* coil build. Not pretty, but it works decently well.

Nice space heater..I don't get how having to manually drip E-juice onto a coil = vaping enjoyment but if you want those "OMG" sized-clouds sacrifices must be made.

1000m pg, 1000m vg for a 50/50 mix. I'll be getting bubblegum, menthol, then a few small sweet ones to experiment with.

It's myfreedomskmokes, so there are tons of reviews.

Oh, OK, so now it just becomes a decision based on $$ saved by ordering bulk and making your own vs the convince of having it pre-mixed and steeped for you, if the reviews are solid I'd probably go for it but keep in mind this will occupy some of your time to do all the mixing, measuring, ect.

Yeah I was going to ask what exactly you were buying.

You can get quarts of PG and VG off amazon relatively cheap, I went that route.

Glycerin Vegetable Kosher USP 43 oz

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Essential Depot Propylene Glycol 1 Quart

http://www.amazon.com/Essential-Depo...xgy_hpc_text_y

But need enough things for the shipping to drop I imagine per usual.

Get some syringes etc for mixing and some bottles.

Pack of 10 x 10 ml Industrial Syringes with 15G x 1-1/2" Blunt Tip Fill Needle and plastic cover

http://www.amazon.com/Industrial-Syr...xgy_hpc_text_z

I have some that are a bit different and a few pyrex things also, but that would be the idea I guess.

15pcs 30ml Empty Semi Hard Plastic Squeezable Dropper Bottle | for Most Liquids including E-Juices

http://www.amazon.com/Plastic-Squeez...34W781J120AJVC

I do not mix the nicotine myself, just cut things down, but there are things out there of course.

What are steep times usually like? Hours, days, months?

Difference with dripping on the coil is the flavor. That's mainly what I go for and clouds second. The flavor on a rda is great if you find a good juice. Big difference than an Atlantis too. Much more tasteful.

Which is why I want to get a kanger subtank mini so I can build and just use it in the tank setup. My mutation x rda is great but fidgeting with it and dripping even at home isn't always optimal. I only really use it when I find a juice that tastes really really good.

My friend recently got a subtank mini and loves it.

Yea I have enough cash back from discover to get one too but I've also been thinking of selling my stingray mech mod and getting a sigeli 150w box mod.
So I could use the cash back for either one. My local shop has the subtank mini for $40 but online I can get it for $40 shipped if I find a good site.

I'm also curious on how it will compare to my Atlantis. The Atlantis is a pain to build on, whereas the kanger has a horizontal setup already.

When we buy from Mt Baker Vapor it usually takes 2 weeks for a decent flavor to develop, kind of a pain but they are very competitive on price and have good quality.

As opposed to......?

Filling a bottom-coil tank once a day and be done with it. Now I'll have to admit I've never tried an RBA type high-powered device but since I'm getting great flavor and satisfying vapor quantity @ 10.5 watts it's a head-scratcher for me as to how anyone needs to spend more than $50-75 for a great vaping experience.

Is like many things in life I guess, a Chevy is fine but a Porsche/Ferrari is more fun I guess.

Yeah, I think steeping time is usually quoted at two weeks most places, for optimal.

Well, it depends. If it's a simple one flavor juice it can be vapable almost as soon as you mix it. Of course it will get better after some steeping. The more complicated the flavor the longer the steep time needed for everything to meld together. With most juices I've had I've found two weeks to be a happy point. But count shipping and your at two and a half. Most are good after a couple days to a week but it's a noticeable difference after a bit more time. Tobacco flavors in particular take a month to start getting good.
