i bought this chair for $43 (after $15 coupon) Chair

But i can't get it to tilt back much. i turned that little knob on the bottom of the chair. at 1 extreme, it won;t tilt. at the other extreme, it only tilts like 5 degrees.

my old chair tilts like 30 degrees.

so is it the chair, or am i missing something on how to make this chair tilt back?!

You shoulda ask how to tilt it at the store when you demoed it...or you coulda demoed it first then bought it online. Lotta those chairs don't actually tilt that much at all. If you don't like it, you can always bring it back to your store...

Support your local store....buy from them....you can even use coupons!!!! (at least i let people use them at my store.) I'm a nice pricematcher...but I do know all the dirty tricks so don't try any.

The link says it has a tilt lock, so maybe that's the problem. The dial should just adjust tilt tension. On my chair, which isn't the same, you pull out (away from the chair) on the handle which adjusts the gas shock for height of the chair. Try that...or flip you chair and take a good look at how it works...

tilt tension refers to how easily the chair tilts back when you lean back on it. The tighter the tilt tension, the more you have to push backwards in order to get the chair tilted.

It doesn't lock it in tilt. It locks it to prevent tilting.

Lean back really really far, almost to the point of falling down. If you fall backwards and hit your head on the floor then you've gone too far. Right yourself and try again.
