Hi everyone,

I am new to the Anand forums after googling out this post for some information on OCing my new rig. The results that I am about to post are rock solid stable after running Prime95 for 30 hours.

Case: Antec Sonata w/ 380 watt P.S. (+12V rated 24A max) <--- extremely nice case b/c of its silent design
CPU: AMD 64 3000+ (s939)
M/B: MSI K8N Neo2 Plat.
MEM: Kingston Hyper X 512mb PC4200 * 2 (1GB at 533mhz) <--- these things cost less than the OCZ's
VGA: Radeon 9800XT 256mb <-- Seriously, I wouldn't pay about $350 bucks on a new VGA card that only
shows minor improvements compared to this baby!
HDD: Maxtor 250gb 8mb Cache ATA133

Bios Configurations:

AGP aperature 256
AGP speed auto
Fast writes Auto
System Bios Disabled
IDE Setup SATA 1-4 DMA Transfer enabled
Onboard Device SATA 1-4 enabled

Cell Menu
High Performance Disabled
Dynamic OC Disabled
Spread Spectrum Disabled
HT 3x
Cool 'n' Quiet Disabled
CPU Ration x9
CPU FSB Freq. 270
Core Clock: 2430
AGP Freq. 66
CPU Voltage 1.55
Memory Voltage 2.8
AGP Voltage 1.50

DRAM COnfig
Max Memclock 200
Manual settings 3- 4- 4- 10 1T

I hope I didn't leave anything out...if there are questions just post and I will answer promptly.

I can contest to the power of the antec's ;), I have the 430 and my 12 volt rail is on avegare at 12.03ish, and that's with 3 hd's a 3400+, radeon 9700 pro, dvd burner, dvd/cd-rw drive, assorted fans and lights, etc. All the rails are rock solid.

Thank you Gents for your assistance. BUT, I ended up pulling the system out because my Realtek AC'97 audio Microphone did not work. After attempting to fix thie error and then finally speaking with MSI tech support, I have to RMA the board. So there is a good chance that there is more going on, or rather, wrong, with this MB than I originally thought. This is especially true considering everyone else succeeds where I have not. Will repost once I get this baby back.

Most people are NOT stable at 2.6 ghz, but are stable a little about 2.4.
2350 so far. I may try to go up some more, once I am sure its stable. I have PC3500 GOOD Hyperx rated CAS2. When I set the divider to 5:6 and set the memory at 260, that is exactly 217 FSB (rated speed) and even with 1.7v, it won;t even post. I think Anand got a hand picked cpu. I haven;t even seen that many here over 2.4 ! And it not my PSU (Antec true power 380) or my HSF (The same one Anand used, Thermaltake Silent Boost K8) and my temps are fine (did get to 59c at 1.675v, I am back to 1.6v now)
