Isn't that a early harvest for canuckistan?

They say that corn loses its sugar content pretty fast after picking.

man, i always used to get corn on the cob when going to the local fairs. they used to dunk them in butter...omg heavenly

Dad says it was picked this afternoon, so I edited my OP. Says he buys only from this nearby farmer because it's always fresh.

Don't know the name. It was bicolour, both yellow and white niblets in equal amounts and evenly distributed on the same cob.

was it grilled?

(remove corn silk but not leaves, stuff with butter and pepper, grill medium until done)

I grill corn without the husk. If you leave the husk on, it just steams. It still cooks evenly without, but you'll get some more charring which I like.

I grilled corn in the husk for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was very good and as an added advantage the leftover corn doesn't wrinkle up after it cools like it does when you boil it.

Mayo is something I've never heard of. I'd always eat it with just butter, if at all any butter if it's good enough it doesnt need it. Chili pepper sounds good though.

corn is so easy to heat up too, just lay 5-6 of them on a plate and put a damp paper towel over them and microwave for about 7 minutes
