Just Assembled My New Puter

Well, I am posting via my new rig. All went suprisingly well, with a lot of help coming from this forum. Thanks all that answered my questions. Definitiely would not be posting without the AT Forums!

Here is what I have:

AMD 3700+ San Diego
MSI Neo4 Platinum
1 GB (2x512) Corsair VS PC3200
MSI NX6600 VTD
Antec TruePower 2.0 480W
Seagate 80G SATA
Maxtor 80G PATA (from old computer)
Sony Dual Layer DVD-R (DRU-720A)
Sony CD-RW/DVD-ROM
Sony Floppy
Antec P160 Case

Now if I can just figure out how to get my network connection from sporadically dropping, I'll be all set.

Ha, I just finished putting mine together Fri and I also had an urge to post here just because my comp is working. I supressed that urge.
Had the same network problems though, so I uninstalled Norton and alls fine now. But now I'm thinking I should have tinkered with it before just getting rid of it

I was going to post this in the networking forum, but here is what I got going.

I have Comcast cable, a Toshiba modem (worked fine with previous computer), a D-Link DI-524 wireless router (although I am using it as a wired router), and the onboard ehternet. I am running BIOS version 1.3 and loaded all the drivers that came with the mobo.

For some reason, I occasionally get the little bubble message from XP saying the LAN connection is not connected.
