Few people would listen to the news if it told more of the truth. Most can't take the pittance we are already getting and don't watch. Americans were born and raised on pablum. The truth is that nobody wants to know it. In one form or another the truth is on ignore. But don't worry, this is just an opinion I read in a book.I mainly watch MSNBC but also CNN and sometimes Bloomberg. I think there's someone else too.
Anyway, regarding the debt limit, I'm seeing a lot more Pubs getting air time on the first two. I mainly check BB only if I need/want to check in on the markets.
I'm guessing a lot of you never tune in to any of those but if you do, is that also your perception.
Thought about it and decided on no poll for this but I'm pretty sure that can be changed.
Haha. That last line is classic and you're abso-smurfly correct. It only becomes an issue if there's a third party like "No Labels" or Biden doesn't make it to election day.Few people would listen to the news if it told more of the truth. In any case the Republican primary is just a contest to see who gets to lose.
No Labels, oh look.Haha. That last line is classic and you're abso-smurfly correct. It only becomes an issue if there's a third party like "No Labels" or Biden doesn't make it to election day.
Biden looks frail but apparently it's just bad arthritis that causes his stiff, halting walk. I suspect he's going to be around for quite a while.
As for a third party, I don't think that they can raise the cash needed to put up a viable candidate. But they COULD use the 2024 election to create some name recognition.
As for the average 6 pack Jack or Jill, their main concerns are inflation and the economy. The exceptions there are the evangelicals and the far right. You have roughly a third of the electorate that will vote for Trump even if he's wearing an orange jump suit (to match his "tan"). Everybody else is going to vote only if they feel like they have some skin in the game. Fortunately, that will include most women and younger voters.
It was an involuntary cruise! Cruises are expensive so really they were doing the slaves a favor. So . . . you see, slavery was just a sort of mandatory votech
edit: for those not familiar, this is the basic message in the new FL social studies guidelines.
WTF?MSNBC's Anna Cabrera has some bodacious tatas. Those red and pink vertical corduroy type stripes makes them stand out.
Actually, MSNBC rarely wastes peoples time with the other sides vacuous personalities.CNN now effectively controlled by a right wing extremist who is gradually shifting their coverage into Fox-lite (still work in progress)
MSNBC news shows still generally follows the anachronistic practice of giving fair air time to both sides, even when one "side" is completely insane, but I haven't watched enough to say if this has changed recently - although their talk shows still lean quite left.
Bloomberg is just reliably pro big-business on every topic, which generally means giving lots more air time to Republicans
Sorry I missed this. Faux News lite? I guess as long they don't deny reality, I'm not really opposed to a news org. having a bias. I mean fvch, the idea of balanced coverage is a myth. We need to adapt to that.CNN now effectively controlled by a right wing extremist who is gradually shifting their coverage into Fox-lite (still work in progress)
Associated Press and Reuters are about as neutral as you can find these days, and why I get my news through their sites instead of anything on TV.I'm not really opposed to a news org. having a bias. I mean fvch, the idea of balanced coverage is a myth. We need to adapt to that.
Shows way to many votes (no new information), and not enough individual committee hearings. And American Journal is an abomination.Haven't watched any of them in many years now, though I will check out written articles. Hell those have a chance to be decent even on Fox (though they'll bury certain headlines on their site which is hilarious!).
The only decent cable news shows are on cspan because it might bother to talk at length and provide some context. No eagles and banners and URGENT BREAKING news with powerful epic music. Ie, bore the pants off the average Joe. Maybe something on PBS but I don't even know what is on anymore, we pretty much ditched cable at home.
