I stopped by radio shack looking for 12volt lights and I spotted a 12volt, 20watt halogen bulb, so I said what the heck and bought it. This thing is super bright, it lights the inside of my case up very well. I have placed a piece of plexi glass on the side of my computer case instead of using the side panel to mount the plexi to, I drilled a hole through each corver of the plexi and screwed it to my case. I am also cutting the front drive panel covers out of plexi so you can see into my case from the front. I have also added a 120 milimeter fan to the top of my case to pull air out of my case. The fan is a metal panaflo .52amp, very noisy beast. One other thing, the light and fan are on switches so I can shut them off when I want too. I also have a blue led I am going to replace the power led with. I am also thinking about getting a 120volt black light to put into my case and wire it directly into the power supply, don,t know if I will though.

Here are the pics:

fan, the one in my case is .52amps

The plexi glass is on the side of the case for the side shots. I still have to do something with the mess of wires in my case. The pic of the fan I posted has a .15A with I am assuming stands for .15amps? The fan in my computer is the same except it has .52A

I guess you are aware then of the extra heat you're throwing into your case by adding that halogen lamp. Just beware!

That's like adding half a TBirds worth of heat into your case!
Or 4 HD's!

Yeah I know it gets extremely hot, that is what the fan I mounted on top of the case if for. Also, I do not leave it on all the time just when I want to show off my computer to one of my friends. I will post some pics in a few minutes if the digital camera is working.

I like the idea of the whole side panel a plexi glass, saves trouble and looks great. All you need in there is a blue neon light :)

I would like to add a blue neon light into it as well but I do not currently have an extra $30 to buy one with, because I am saving up for a new monitor to replace the POS monitor I have right now. I have also just installed the blue led light in place of the power on light.

should use colored plexiglass! then ya could keep the lite and spend a $1 or 2 on new plexi.

I'm gonna add neon myself. I got a window in the top, back, right side so you can look down at my mobo and stock fan on my Duron 600 :p

I was going to use the colored plexi but neither home depot or any of the other hardware supply places had colored except for the stuff that was tinted kind of a greyish brown color.
