The thinkpad is a decent lappy for what I would use it for. 1ghz, 256mb, 30gb hd, etc. My question is....how hard is it to fix/replace a laptop screen? It is a 14.1 XGA screen. The go on ebay for 200 shipped or so. Think it is worth it to fix it? Also, what is the lcd inverter? The screen, if you push on the right area seems to work, as if it isn't "seated/mounted" correctly, but I don't know. I am a noob to working on laptops. Could the inverter be the problem? I posted this over in the notebook area, but there aren't nearly as many posters over there. Thanks for any help!

you can unscrew the hinges and reseat the cabling, if that doesnt work it COULD be the entire LCD. it's easy to replace.
