ok.....im just about to order this computer....but i was wondering what you guys thought? i'll probably play a little halflife....but i don't care about graphics all that much....just shooting people.

and more importantly, im hoping somebody can explain why the motherboard is not warranted through Newegg. Does that mean I can't RMA it if i have a problem? ZZF doesn't seem to have this policy, so maybe i should buy it through them?

Western Digital Special Edition 80GB 7200RPM - $58.50

AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512KB L2 Cache - $150.00

Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200 - $138.36

CHAINTECH nForce3 250 Chipset Motherboard "VNF3-250" - $76.00

**This item is warranted through the product manufacturer only.

Antec 380W Power Supply, Model "TRUE380" - $61.00

Microsoft Windows XP HOME Edition With Service Pack 2 - $86.99

I'm going to stick with my current video card until after christmas....hopefully the 6600gt AGP's will come down in price.

That is NewEgg's new policy on every motherboard. This was their response when I emailed them about it:

If a motherboard is DOA, then you will need to contact the manufacturer first before you come back to us to do an RMA. If it is within 30 days, then it can be a refund RMA. Otherwise, it can only be a replacement RMA (we offer 1-year replacement period). If the item (not including CPU and some high value item) is within 30-day refund period, it is up to you to decide which type of RMA you want. Normally, we would prefer that you contact manufacturer first, because they should be able to help you out in most cases. However, if manufacturer fails to do anything for you, you can always come back to us for further help.
