Just a wandering thought - think Win2k would run at all on my P83?

When I first got it, I was feeling daring just to load Win95.. I was thinking about just using Win3.x, but I didn't want to go that far back.

After a while of using Win95b, I screwed around and now I ended up with Win98 on my p83 - and it's much faster than I expected.

So, do you think it would be possible to run Win2k, or dualboot 2k and 98?

Ample amounts of RAM are more important than CPU power for 2k.

RSI, you really shouldn't have listened to me when I told you to do this...

Your biggest problem will be the DDO -- I don't think it will work with win2k... but if you have your stuff backed up, you could give it a try

win2k on a p83? i supose it'l work, just have a crap load of ram for it. My dad got it to work on a p2 266 w/128MG's of ram, it runs a tad slow, but it still works.
