Remember in Win2K, when you start up there's a progress bar that fills up at the bottom of the screen before the splash screen pops up, goes on a while and then it finally loads up the GUI and logon screen?
Well, when I installed WinXP a couple of months ago, that initial progress bar was no longer there so I thought, "hey cool, one less delay in the bootup process". However, recently I noticed that on my friend's computer, during bootup it still shows the progress bar before displaying the WinXP splash screen.
This is just a trivial thing, I guess, but I still like to know anyway. Both of us are running WinXP Pro, mine's an original OEM version but I'm not sure what version my friend has (could even be a corp. edn).
Thanks in advance,
