As i was browsing the forum and reading a couple of the posts on new chipsets arriving a thought struck me. Since rumors says VIAs upcoming PCI-Express chipsets will have a 16x PCI-Xpress slot and one AGP slot.. Wouldnt SLI still be possible even if you bought an AGP version and then hooked it up with the PCI-Xpress version right next to it?

What are your thoughts? I think it would be very doable and people who bought AGP versions might not have to buy a new one after all if they want to run SLI.

But the SLI cards require a physical interconnect that simply isn't present on the current cards.
