Not sure if you're joking or not, but I don't get the sense moshquerade was having a go at gay OTers.
It is true there are some big time homophobes at P+N. It's probably not a great place to visit if you're not in the mood to deal with such people.
How is he a homophobe for saying something that 99% of the world's population sees as normal? Seriously, I'm not about making fun of gays or picking on them, not at all, but with statements like that, of course I'm gonna argue against the person who said it. And if you think I'm doing it because I'm a homophobe or anti-gay or whatever, go fvck yourself.
I was going to make a parody thread just as a joke, not as an attack at gays, and yet it seems that if I had, that's how it would've been taken.
Disclaimer: I'm not calling you gay, or anyone else for that matter, but just referring to those of a homosexual nature.
IT isn't homophobic, it's just a statement of truth. Most of us, after all (even those of us that are gay) are here because our male + female parents screwed. People need to chill out a bit.

99% of people used to think the world was flat. When someone actually sailed around the world, word started to spread that the world wasn't really flat. There were some people who doubted the truth, and spoke out against it.
The ship has sailed around the world, researchers have linked several genes to homosexuality. Word is spreading. There will always be those who are stubborn, and don't go along right away. MichaelD is certainly stubborn, among other things.
99%??? Might want to do a little fact checking there buddy. As for the rest of what you said: I have no idea what you're talking about, you're all over the board.

P&N doesn't change anyone's mind. I've yet to see a single person say, "Well, I didn't see it that way. That's interesting." No, they call names, and they scream and pout and yell. Nothing but anger and negativity come from that place, and after spending about 10 minutes there earlier, trying to see what happened with the elections, I think they should just shut that forum down. The people there are just horrible horrible people, who come out just to fight and torment one another. I feel angry just from going in there. It's a dark and dangerous place.
Actually, come to think of it, gays do make a big contribution to child rearing. I am thinking of some of my gay friends, who don't have kids of their own, and are constantly being roped in to babysit their neices and nephews. Having a family member to help out with kids is a huge advantage as a new mother, I do actually think mothers with gay brothers or sisters are at an advantage over mothers who don't have that kind of help.

I agree with you there are some creepy people there. (There are also some great people there, too.) I think it is important not to let anger from P+N seep over to OT. I really don't think moshquerade was trying to ridicule gays with her comment.
Just out of curiosity, what does linking homosexuality to genetics have to do with anything? What great 'truth' are you trying to make clear? I'm not seeing it.
Okay well 99% was probably more than is true, but it's probably safe to say that the number of people who look at heterosexuality as normal is at least in the 90s. I didn't really wanna argue or debate, I've got nothing against homosexuals, I just don't get why people say stuff, then get mad when people contradict them or say stuff that wasn't meant to be in the least bit offensive.

Every single time you've posted something, you've been attacking someone else, and it was your posts that first got me in the mood I was in when I posted the one message. You're bitching about people saying/doing things that you see as anti-gay and yet you're attacking other people personally? Ever heard of hypocrosy?
That one is pretty simple. If they can prove that homosexuality is genetic then they can claim it is natural and not a choice and thus hopefully free themselves from ridicule. The jury is still out on the genetic link though because there simply isn't enough concrete evidence that is widlely accepted.
Watch out, the way you said it is probably offensive to homosexuals and all the idiots on this board who think their opinions are better and wiser and invincible are going to come after you.
And you were the one complaining about P&Ners have nothing to say? It's a simple question. Answer it or don't, but there's no need to try to belittle me unless you're suffering from small-man syndrome.
