Just a T line

My Rasa RS240 pump and res died a few weeks back. From advice at work went with a T line and a fill port.

Fast forward to today, it was a pita to use the fill port once mounted in the "fill port" hole at the top of the case (Cooler Master HAF 932).

The water would start to go in but stop. I keep turning on and off the pump so I did not burn it out with no water. Guess next step is to actually mount all the gear since it did not leak and do the shake the case method to get the water bubbles out. There was a huge one right after the pump which at first made me think the D5 pump sucked.

Can anyone give tips. Thinking going back to the res method.

No matter how I move the case around still huge bubbles after over an hour tinkering.

where is your t-line in the loop, top or bottom? from the pic, it looks like bottom, from my experience (it's been a few years since I used a t-line), the t-line(as does the rez) does better higher in the loop. you may try to lay the case down and raise the section of the loop that has a t-line above the rest of the loop.

The t line needs to link high in the loop and before the pump. Reservoirs are generally better because they hold a lot more water and typically don't end up having to fill, pump, fill, pump etc. Even with an optimal t line you will likely still have to use multiple fillings to get it full.

Thank you for the feedback. After another hour or so got 95% of the air out. Lesson learned, way easier for lazy people to get reservoir.

Well turns out my CPU blocked that I had since my 2500k was clogged. Found out the hard way when my temps skyrocked. Once that was cleared t line filling was painless.

The T line is the most painful way to bleed.

can take a full day via T line.

Also id be more worried about your top mounted rad which has its barbs pointed down.

Chances are if u didnt rock it back and forth while bleeding, you got a air bubble stuck inside your rad.
